Part 7 of 7 of scenes from the 1996 movie series, "Dead Mans Walk", starring David Arquette, Jonny Lee Miller, F. Murray Abraham, Keith Carradine, Patricia Childress, Brian Dennehy, Edward James Olmos, Eric Schweig, Harry Dean Stanton, and Jennifer Garner.
This prequel to Lonesome Dove takes place in the Texas Republic in the early 1840s where two young rangers, Augustus McCrae (David) and Woodrow Call (Jonny) make an attempt to capture Santa Fe and annex New Mexico as part of the Texas-Santa Fe expedition. Led by Caleb Cobb (F. Murray), guided by Bigfoot Wallace (Keith), and mountain friend (Harry), the group face battle, bloodshed, capture, and narrow escape from both Mexican forces and the great Comanche led by Buffalo Hump and his wild men.
Directed by Yves Simoneau
Based on the novel by Larry McMurtry

  • Hate to say it...the entire ending of Dead Man's Walk was punch out...

  • I understand what you mean, it seems like you'd expect there to be some big epic fight against Buffalo Hump. But instead, they just happened to run into a wealthy opera-singing woman that takes the Indians by surprise and stops Buffalo Hump in his tracks, which quickly concludes this long journey. But I thought the storyline as a whole was interesting. ;D

  • You really ought to consider extending the final 30 seconds or so of part 7 - the scene with Jonny Lee Miller and Gretcen Mol is absolutely beautiful, and David Bell really hits the mark with the soundtrack. In fact, the soundtrack really impressed me throughout.

  • I didn't think it was really necessary since I already posted it in the "Dead Man's Walk"- Part 3 & 4 video on my other channel, but I see you found it there. This film really did do a good job in its soundtrack! ;D

  • Awesome! Is there more..? ;)

  • The movie series is over 4 hours long, so there are other scenes not posted. If I were to post it all, it would take over 20 videos. Many other scenes show how some of the other Texas rangers who joined in the expedition were killed. I had posted the other scenes with David and Jennifer Garner on my other account if you haven't seen those, but they're not as great in quality. This is a prequel to the "Lonesome Dove" series, but I haven't seen the other 2 parts before. ;)

  • Found your other upload after this posting. Well done to keep that scene in there.

  • Ok thanks, I totally understand. I´m going to have to check this out at Amazon because it seems like a great series!
