Gee, Elliott seems to have toned it down a lot this week. It may be just perceptual, but he seems a lot calmer. With some self control, he's actually quite good. (His location shot in an herb garden was awful, though, full of those "group home" hand gestures and moon faced espressions). But the weather report sounds better. He seems like a nice man, but needs to put his hands in his pockets, quit "flagging down" the camera.
This was such a polished newscast, but it is now dominated with Elliot's loud, obvious humor. His every smirk and gesture trasnlate, loudly, to "Look at me!" Maurice DuBois is so refined, experienced and articulate, and he has a wonderful sly sense of humor that is eclipsed by Elliot's needy, frantic antics and false self-deprication. Elliot is like a towel-snapper at the University Club changing room.
CBS2 is nothing without him. I wake up JUST to here this guy randomly sing a song and start the birthday announcements. He's hilarious, LOVE HIM! <3
