Petula Clark along with real-life brothers David Cassidy and Shaun Cassidy opened in the Broadway production on August 16, 1993. Her replacements on were Carole King & Helen Reddy.

yeah this makes the show seem like, really happy.

of course, it has its brilliant humour in it, but no way is this anything like the effect the play has on you when you leave.

i wouldn't like to see this in america either, no offence meant, but i just think it's a british thing.

Helen Reddy sings an A M A Z I N G version of "Tell Me It's Not True" from her Broadway performance of "Blood Brothers". I thought she was fantastic in the show. If you're interested in purchasing the song, it's on iTunes and also on her Broadway album called "Center Stage".
