You know, he was simply giving you some ideas to use. If you look down your nose at store-bought sauces, then make your own and use this technique to decorate the plates to your own liking. Ditto the desserts...make your own. This is simply an idea for a nice presentation. Use your OWN imagination and skill set to make it your own. I can see using savoury sauces to decorate a dinner plate as well. Thanks for the ideas.
what he doesn't mention is that the viscosity of the liquids does play a part in whether or not they start to bleed together....make sure everything is the same viscosity
