The Montepulciano grape is lighter in style, slightly vitreous, higher in its acid profile. This particular wine is subdued in its initial taste. This wine gives notes of black cherry and finishes prominently with cedar, pepper and sweet spices. Overall this is a drier wine than might command food---Marinara-based food.
This wine another fine selection at Trader Joes and I continue to be pleasantly surprised with a $4.99 retail. And theres more..its organic! I dont just review wines found @ Trader Joes—however—I am just finding outstanding values that are easy on the pocket book and make their offering makes it possible to enjoy wine without emptying your wallet.
