This was the day that Judy of Alfred and Judy came back to the railway. These two engines inspired Bill & Ben from the Thomas the tank Engine Series. It was renovated at the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway yards in Bodmin Cornwall. www.bluelightmedia.org
A correction to the film: the film clip is of Alfred & Judy climbing up (or in railway parlance, Down ) from Parkway.
Chris only wrote Thomas and the Twins starring Bill And Ben. They were also mentioned in Thomas and the Fat Controller's Engines.

I recognise the chap standing in the centre in the first photo as good ole Maurice Dart!
I always have a little chuckle at Judy, because when she was built the designer had planned on her being given the name "Chough" after the Cornish bird. However the message came through as "Cough", and this was thought to be rather strange, so it was sent to par without name plates! The Judy nameplate came from a previous loco at par!

It must've being a honour for Christopher Awdry to see Alfred and Judy (Bill and Ben's real-life twins) in steam again.

I know that, but now that these two have been out of steam for so long, that they might restart the old tradition
