  • On the DVD interview, Christopher Eccleston talks about tensions within the cast/crew during the making of the series. I don't really expect you to provide specific info, but I'm guessing it involved some of the lead actors being more interested in superficial aspects of the production rather than the message within the writing...

  • Hi there. i certainly wasn't aware of any tension while I was on set. We all got on well, and my scenes with other actors, including Gina McKee were fun to do and we all worked hard to achieve the reality of the script. Regards, Peter.

  • Thanks for posting. It was an outstanding series, the best television drama I've ever seen. All the actors were brilliant, and the story (truth is stranger than fiction) and the script were really top quality.

  • Cheers Johnny.

I played the Det. Sgt. breaking into the flat...the scene ending was edited - (the orig ending had the lad throw up over a uniformed copper's head as he bent down to retrieve the gun) and actually ended after the poor lad peed his pants...

    Regards Peter.

  • Is Christopher Eccleston in this video?

  • Not in this clip, but in the episode. Cheers, Peter.

  • @pedromcgowan Well acted mate. =) Quality series. Just finished watching it and it is a tear jerker at times.

  • Absolutely fantastic series! To see clips now, reminds me that I have to get the whole series, and watch it right through, as unfortunately, some eras were missed. Incredibly well written, and acted, commendations all round! :)

  • Can anyone upload that scene? I'd love to see it again.

  • To my mind, the finest British drama series ever. The last episode in particular was fantastic, as all the strands came together.I must admit I had tears running down my face as Geordie walked across the Tyne Bridge at the end to the sound of Don't Look back in Anger.

  • Excellent. I wondered when I read your earlier post re 'involved in' the series. Actually, I really like that entire scene in Geordie's flat: Thatcher on TV, and classic Undertones. I must get around to buying it on DVD. It has not been repeated for a long time. Cheers
