Allie: Yeah but..nevermind uum I don't want to read it I have to go home now anyway. Bye!
*She walked down stairs and Nat followed her*
Nat: Wwait! I wanted to talk to you! Its important!
Allie: *thinking: Oh no' oh no just get out of here before he breaks up with you stupid go!* uuum I'll see you tomorrow! Bye!
Nat: Allie! Its only 8 you don't have to be home till 12! *she was already in the hall way by the door putting on her shoes she'd taken off earlier.
Nat: *closed the front door, cutting her off*
Nat: *Walked around her and leaned up against the door. Without take his eyes of her he said* Hey Alex I heard dad say he bought one of your birthday present yesterday. Maybe he hid it in his room.
Alex: REALLY! *turns off the T.V and runs upstairs*
Nat: What's wrong.
Allie: *Wont look at him and almost in tears* Nothing. What makes you think something's wrong?*She finished getting her shoes on and tried to get around Nat and out the door*
Nat: What makes me think something's wrong!? Allie I know you! What happened?
Allie: *She broke down in tears*
Nat: *As she tried to go around him he caught her in his arms and held her*
Allie: *She buried her head into his shoulder and sobbed*
Nat: Allie I cant fix it if I don't know whats wrong. Your breaking my heart here.
Allie: *She let out another sob and whimpered* Your going to break up with me.
Nat: What? Allie no matter how bad it is I wont break up with you. I love you!
Allie: No! Your going to break up with me for that other girl!
Nat: *silent for a minute and then says* Wait, what other girl?
Allie: The one Alex told me about.
Nat: OH NO!
Allie: See it is true. *She cried some more*
Nat: NO! Oh no you were talking to Alex! He doesn't know what the freak he's talking about almost 24/7! What girl was he talking about?
Allie: Alex *Still crying but not sobbing*
Nat: Yeah who was Alex talking about?
Allie: Some GIRL named Alex...that he read about in your notebook.
Nat: *let go of her and stepped back* THAT'S why you were reading my notebook! Because ALEX told you I was cheating!! You didn't just find it you were LOOKING for it.
Allie: NO NO I wasn't I was going to leave it alone and ask you about it later but you walked in and saw me have it.
Nat: *Still a little angry* Then when I told you you could read it why didn't you!
Allie: Because I love you and I was scared if I read it or even turned it over you would break up with me for who ever was in that notebook. But if you thought I didn't know about her then you would stay with me at least...for a little while.
Nat: *All the anger was gone and he looked at her eyes and face. He picked her up so she was face to face with him and kissed her cheek.* Alex is short for Alexandra. I started using Alex a while ago so if anyone ever read it they couldn't go and tell everyone because they didn't know who I was talking about. Alex came to mind because of your full name and because of my brother..Alex. *He whispered soothingly into her ear*
Allie: *Still upset and sniffling* Then w-what about how Alex said it said you WANTED to kiss her?
Nat: *chuckles* Take a deep breath and ask me that again. I'll answer any question. I'm all yours.
Allie: *She took a deep breath like he said and tried to ask it again* Alex told me it said that you WANTED to kiss the Alex girl...and uum since....that's already happened I figured It was someone else you wanted to kiss not me.
Nat: Did you ever stop to consider that maybe he only got to the first couple of pages in the book? And ive been writing in that book for a while now so it became kind of like a journal. You write the most resent things...
Allie: IN THE BACK! Oh man im stupid.
Nat: No! No your not! Alex is my brother so he's with me almost everyday. If I were you I would have believed him! He's not wrong he told you exactly what it said he just doesn't know what your whole name is and didn't read the whole book.
Allie:....What about the picture on the front?
Nat: What do you mean? Did you look at it?
Allie: No I didn't have the guts to. But Alex knows what I look like so I know its not me on the front!
