  • Nice upload, many thanks.

    Some interesting comments here.

Anyhow, real quality never goes out of style, and it wasn't called "Great British" without good reason!

    Jog-on 'Johnny F', jog-on!

  • Wouldn't it be great if some bazillionaire (preferably British) who loved P5s would start his/her own company and build these cars again? Not only would they sell, but I'd be one of the first in line!

  • @keplermission If you don't like Britain leave.

  • @keplermission the rover p4 and p5 were an example of uk good taste and quality. American multi nationals cut every thing back to the bone with popular mass produced dross we couldn't compete with their simple model ranges and economies of scale. Un nationalistic 'brits' like you are the reason this country is in the shit.

  • @Seattlecarnut - unfortunately you are wrong. Firstly all of this old scrap is thrown out in the skip when Rover buys an American aluminum engine for the Rover P5B. Honda was finally brought in to change car production in the UK but a new style of British people could not learn quickly, they were set in their relaxed ways of working, Rover factories had quite a few yelping loud mouths, asserting how cars 'should be made', you would have agreed with them but the American engine does say it all!

  • It's fun to watch how British car is made. They didn't have computers or anything digital, they did everything by hand or with mechanical machines, with analogue gauges; the way cars should be made. Computers are good for some things, but there's nothing like human hands to ensure the work is perfect.

  • Great upload,thanks!
