This is the first in a series of new videos documenting some work on my VW Baja Bug. In desperate need of a new engine, as well as some general restoration, the car has been with me since 2001. This introduction also serves as a brief history lesson on how I got into building and fabricating computers and a lot of the other stuff I do.

In order to keep the uploads coming I'm limiting the time I spend on these videos, but hopefully there should be some good "case mod worklog" esk moments in the series. Anyway, enjoy.

  • My 71 Superbeetle will be out of the shop by christmas. Im going for more of a street theme with disc brakes and porsche wheels

  • @ITWillFL Cool, I would love to upgrade to disk brakes myself.

  • so uh, what's the chance of having a PC rigged in the car? :D

  • @mitchnesbitt That's not on the current to-do list, but that would certainly make sense for me wouldn't it?

  • Hah, I always find it funny when I find a youtube channel that is purely for makeup tutorials. Cant wait to see what you do to it...also what's with the fin like object on the roof?

  • @t3hsniper It's got an extra oil cooler in it. Next week I'll have a quick video briefly explaining some of whats already been done on the car.

  • this some family beatlle and this in my country is named Fusca , nice car .

  • its a german car wuuuhh germany ! :D

  • 2002 bug? what???

  • Rebuilds are easy, even for noobs.

  • Super Beetles do make poor Bajas if you're going to truely off-road them. Their front suspension is just too weak compared to the standard Beetle. But if on-road action is what it mainly sees, the Super is just fine. I had a '71 Super Baja that was a street only vehicle that was worked just fine under those circumstances.

  • Yhea you show them that a SB can be a good baja bug; just reinoforce the front suspension . Great video!

  • Thumbs up for the bug, keep it on top. I want more of these videos :)

  • Very, very compelling introduction. Close to a good movie trailer. (and we don't see those all too often!) Thumbs up.

  • I've always really liked the production in your videos. Really looking forward to new ones on the bug! Hope to see some soon.
