Project One - Baja Bug : Introduction

This is the first in a series of new videos documenting some work on my VW Baja Bug. In desperate need of a new engine, as well as some general restoration, the car has been with me since 2001. This introduction also serves as a brief history lesson on how I got into building and fabricating computers and a lot of the other stuff I do.

In order to keep the uploads coming I'm limiting the time I spend on these videos, but hopefully there should be some good "case mod worklog" esk moments in the series. Anyway, enjoy.

@t3hsniper It's got an extra oil cooler in it. Next week I'll have a quick video briefly explaining some of whats already been done on the car.

Rebuilds are easy, even for noobs.

Super Beetles do make poor Bajas if you're going to truely off-road them. Their front suspension is just too weak compared to the standard Beetle. But if on-road action is what it mainly sees, the Super is just fine. I had a '71 Super Baja that was a street only vehicle that was worked just fine under those circumstances.

Yhea you show them that a SB can be a good baja bug; just reinoforce the front suspension . Great video!
