Lucky enough to have coughed up $50.00 to see them in '81 at the Orpheum Theater in Boston. That was alot of money! They brought the house down with this song. Saw them on the Left Coast at the L.A. Sports Arena in '85 for the Unforgettable Fire Tour. They did Gloria again that night. Both nights I was proud to be Irish!

This song is one of the their best. I need to go back and listen to October again--it's been YEARS. Wish Bono still rocked that beautiful mullet of youth and naivety.

Actually I think Bono looks fantastic here. No greasy hair or wanky sunglasses here! I remember the first time I saw this clip way back when. The music was so different to anything else we had heard and it was brilliant.

I love Bono's hair. That look is so sexy. And Larry is adorable in his pea coat. Gloria is a classic. So is this video. Greatest band on the planet!

I saw them as an opening act for the J Geils Band in Ft Lauderdale FL in 1982 and they had big 80s hair but they rocked....
