This video shows me using the OLD version Syrinscape.
The main changes in the new version are on the look of the interface. The horrible check boxes have now been replaced with play and stop buttons... but this video will at least give you an idea of what you are in for!
Visit www.syrinscape.com to download it for free.
Syrinscape is a dynamic, easy to use application that creates continuous, repetition-free sound environments.
How does it do that?
It uses easily editable and adaptable libraries of sound files ('sound sets') to 'improvise' soundscapes, allowing the user a great degree of control, while requiring almost no interaction while it runs.
What is it good for?
Syrinscape was created to enhance Tabletop Roleplaying Games (we play Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, World of Warcraft, GURPS). It adds mood evocking, ambient background sound and music to our play. Other products we found, created sound that was either way too dense, required too much user interaction, or contained obvious repetitions, which quickly become annoying after hours of play.
