However, in the Old Testament, which is full of prophecy and a lot of symbolism. What I'm trying to get at is, in Numbers 31, verse 1 and 2 say, "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Avenge the chidlren of Israel the Midianities: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people." In order to understand this instead of making an inaccurate conclusion, you must read Numbers 30 and so forth. I hope this is making sense, it seems confusing, lol.

but it's not informing us of actions based on war/military (like the 'genocide' in Numbers 31). If this is making sense at all to you. The verses in Leviticus and Exodus (meaning the forms of slavery, etc), you must read the full chapters in order to understand what/why/how it is taking place for certain particular reasons. John 3:16 makes it very clear in one verse, that God sent His Son to die for us. We know why already, it's obvious.

The book was written by man, of course. However, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." The reason that I justify that particular verse is because it states It's case directly in one motion. Yes, the verses before and after are apart of It's chapter,

This is no ordinary book though. It's the infallible word of an omnisicient, omnipresent, being (right?). I completely agree when you say that these passages were developed as a product of a particular culture from the past. This just adds credence to the idea that the book was written by man. What makes you feel justification quoting specific verses like John 3:16 immediately after telling me that I can't? How would you differently interpret God's advice to put people to death?

Exactly, you do not have to prove anything to anyone. If your (or anyone's) testimony makes people uncomfortable, then you're doing the right thing. Jesus once said, "Come and see." He never forced anyone. Therefore, we just have to let people come and see for themselves with a humble mind and heart, to see the beauty of God. We, however, are supposed to be salt of the earth, and light of the world. We also have to show people how He's working in us, for others to come and see.

And when you said, "That is, if a patient believes he is being helped (either through fake medicine, prayer, etc.) then it can help recovery very slightly."

Although that may be true, can it help the recovery fully? Because it did; God is Good and cured her. Our prayers have to be set in motion to get the Lord Jesus Christ to work.

I'm not here to debate, because I know little to nothing about medical treatments and medicines, but what I do know is the truth that happened to her.

could not think for herself; had troubles with every bone in her body, where every joint in her body could dislocate (I don't know the medical term), and prayer cured her, by the loving grace of God.

Now, you could tell me to find proof, medical documentations or something. Or if a "case" like this happened, it must of had some famous recognition. Well, if that's what you will do, I can't offer that, but if you want, I'll introduce you to her and you can chat to her personally.

When you're whole entire mind is lost; you can't function, speak, move your whole entire body, your subconscious mind can't produce positively. A great friend of mine was handicap; no medicine helped her, only made it worse. Nothing helped her, she couldn't walk and was supposed to die by the age of 18. My church decided to get together, we constantly prayed for her. On Halloween of 2008, she was able to get out of bed, walk around, and have an amazing time. This was a girl who

I do not understand how you got people putting thumbs down ratings for this; for simply speaking Truth of the Bible. Keep preaching it, brother. Amen.

If not, that's like saying. "I read the back of the book, so I can take my test now and probably pass." No, teachers recommend that you read every page because you're going to miss a few key points in the book, correct? That is the exact same way with the Bible. Read every word; don't put it out of context. Read the whole chapter and passages.

I'll discuss those verses for you, if you want.
