I see yours has the lines too I currently have`6 lines 3 blue 2 yellow 1 purple, but other than that its a great laptop good DVR too hook it my tv watch shows record have a guide, thats what it was made for i think cause it has everything to do so, now i did replace the screen cause my last one has a HUGE black strip down the middle

i have my qosmio g20 for about 4 years now and didnt have a single problem with it,,just a little problem with my windows vista but thats not laptop fault tho i really love it and its awsome to impress people with a laptop they would never afford :P i paid f1800 (i cnt make eglish money symbol) and i can say it was worth it cuz i never had a laptop this long which could still work properly

i'm using one of those laptops as we speak, as i type this comment out. i haven't had any trouble with mine minus the CD burner wanting to conk out on me.

my dvd drive is KAPUT .

then my Qosmio G-20 crashed after a problem with the hard drive.

couldn't use RECOVERY disk and had to have drive c and d duplicated by a nice man £40.(now laptop is so slow its fuckin unbelievable) heed my words peeps....

I think you have the same problem as I had with my G20 156. It´s the bearing in the fan that´s busted. Buy a new fan and install it yourself, it´s not that hard ;)
