By the Way, Geishas were ONCE used for seduction, now they're used for entertainemnt. Its said that to be in a room with a Geisha is the most wonderful thing for a man. They'll make you feel special even if you're a lump of nothing =P

@aeleaonor - We're both wrong. The poster at time index 0:40 says Heisei 15 (2003), june 21, which is the Kyoto Gokagai (5 flower town) Joint Performance in mid June with all hanamachi. Glad for the correction three years later :D

For memoirs the story is fiction but some facts about how it was back then was true to a point based on what he learned by a geisha herself around that time. Of course she got upset with the author cause she requested her name wouldn't be mentioned by he mentioned it anyway. But still. Most of the facts are true to a point. Things have changed since that time though.

Maiko are like apprentinces to Geiko. Its like They are still in training to become a Geiko. Geikos are more exprinced and are done with their training.
