In advance of the President's joint address to Congress this evening, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) joined other Republican senators in asking the President to focus on private-sector job creation: "We've suggested a number of ways to do that: lower tax rates, fewer regulations, and the President could send the three trade agreements that have literally been sitting on his desk since the day he took office. We've told the President we'd work with him on lowering health care costs, workforce training, and finding more American energy and use less of it. All of these are ways to make it easier and cheaper to create private-sector jobs."
Not all Tennessee republicans are supporters of the tea party...we want action not these political games!
