LANDING GEAR FAILURE - PLANE SAVED BY TRUCK (MUST SEE)

A truck magically stops a landing gear failure on a larger jet by cradling the stuck front gear in its flat-bed. So the truck essentially adds four-wheel drive to the aircraft and lands it, saving the day. But in reality, this is an ad that does not promote aviation safety and stands in questionable taste. A landing gear mishap is a very serious issue-- one that does not end anything like this.

Now, I don't know Nissan's intentions, but perhaps they decided to target a rival transportation industry like aviation for a reason. One thing I do know is that this ad doesn't sit well with me, and other YouTube commenters seem to agree.

Planes land on their noses every few weeks without incident. Putting a flimsy little Nissan out there to be crushed and take out the main gear behind would probably lead to a terrible disaster when the fuel tank ruptures on the pickup and wick's a fire that will feed the planes JetA and kill dozens.
