New Londo Ruins isn't too horribly bad, but it's very foreboding and if you don't have the right items, weapons or know-how, you're going to have a lot of trouble getting through this area unscathed. I cut out a lot of the in-between traveling for sake of convenience and wasn't able to showcase a good portion of the lower half of New Londo, but what's important is the Four Kings boss, which I hopefully cover well enough here. They're some of the more infamous bosses of the game, but it's a bit hard for me to tell whether or not they're genuinely tough to fight or if it's just some strange aspect of their attacks that'll do a tiny sliver of damage one moment and 3/4 of your health bar the next. Next up I'm going to quickly showcase the Kiln of the First Flame and show off Gwyn (not to beat him, just to talk about what I think of the boss, I think I'm going to leave this character on NG+ and throw in the towel for him, at least for the moment).

  • does this game have randomly generated areas? there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to them. The fact that everything is nearly pitch dark probably doesnt help though, is it like that on an actual TV?

  • @zombierobopirate Nope, everything is as it's intended to be, that's why enemy placements are usually strategically implemented to make fights challenging. The brightness may be darker than on a TV because PowerDirector is weird with the contrast option, but in all honesty this is a really dark area in the first place.

  • Where can you get lots of Transient curses? <<

  • @LogicLupus I'm pretty sure you can buy them from somewhere... Maybe that merchant in the sewers, though I could be mistaken. Primarily the best place to find them is in New Londo itself, if you're all out though you're gonna be in a pretty bad spot, still, I'd say search around, they've got to be somewhere that doesn't require the ghost brides stabbing your eyeballs out in the process.

  • I see you got a Channelers Trident but did you get the superior Titanite Catch Pole? I personally love it it's got good range and hits hard and it's nice and fast as long as you time it properly and don't get into it's combo which isn't that great. I prefer it over my Black Knights Sword which is kind of slow but hits good sigh if only i could have gotten the Halberd. Also is putting my sign next to the Gargoyle boss fight a good idea for soul grinding or should i stick to the bridge?

  • @Suzumushi100 I like my Scythe better than anything else in the game, lol.

And no, generally soul grinding next to the Bell Gargoyles won't yield a whole lot of results, at least not too often on NG+ (I didn't have much success, anyways).

  • I've still got a few items to get here actually I might come back here before I beat the game and move to NG+.

  • Four Kings have some pretty badass music.

  • @Quadraxis14 Lol I'm STILL NG yeah i stopped when i hit Blight Town but one day i shall persevere over the lag and the annoying enemies after grinding a few levels in vitality.

  • these things sound like guys from soul reaver...the things in the spirit world that are there literally for you to consume
