@sbort She loves to hear the sound of her own voice?!!! are you being serious? she's on the David Letterman show which invites celebrities onto the show to enable the host to interview the celebrity about their own lives, work etc. This normally entail's said celebrity talking quite a bit about themselves!!! Letterman wouldn't invite Barrymore onto the show to wax lyrical about Obama for an hour, now, would he?

In some ways Drew is funnier when she's being serious. She's putting it on a bit here but she does have a serious side and its good to hear her talking up her role and film that she dedicated herself to. That matters more the fake celebrity crap about who's shes dating and whats shes wearing.
Letterman is going through the motions saying and doing all the right things but looking bored and resigned to the fact that Drew will never dance topless on his desk again.

I adore Drew in an ethereal, timeless way, but she seems really odd in this interview. And it's not all put-on, Miss America crap or whatever. She almost seems a little bit insane. Is she still channeling Little Edie, or...?
But she was fucking FANTASTIC in the film. Her best performance to date, hands down. And she (and Jessica) should be nominated for many awards for sure.
