Very few heavyweights can go out into the fighting after loosing all 12 rounds, and after being knocked out in earlier rounds, come rushing out in the 13th round with your nose split in 2 pieces, burs ted eyebrow skin and a bloodied face, and fight with the same heart and consistency at you did in the first round! He knocks out the guy in the 13th round.

There was nothing impressive about marciano boxing. But he had great defense, and little illusive movments that made him great. What he lacked in size he made up for in heart and courage.

@rivallison30 THATS WHY IF JOE LOUIS WOULD HAVE KNOCKED HIM OUT IN HIS PRIME
MIKE TYSON IS A SLUGGER BUT HE HAD A GAURD THAT WAS PERFECT

@SoIoLoVoEoRoBoAoCoK lol if you saw a few fights of marciano then obviously he could have taken joe's punches.yes Joe Louis would work him but i doubt that he could have knocked Marciano out or even beat him.
I run a MMA gym and have been boxing for years. I'm the same size and build as Rocky 5'9" 180-190lbs. Having fought over a hundred people I can say that I am stronger for my size than anyone I've ever met but when you have a HW leaning on you, pushing you around and punching you, It's not fun at all. What Marciano did is truly unbelievable. I fought hundreds of guys in the gym and it's just mind blowing that a 5'10" 185lb man can eat these big heavies for lunch. I still cant grasp what he did.

Proof is in the pudding. Marciano NEVER lost. Ever. In the 40's and 50's boxing era. Are you kidding? He wasn't the most technically-sound. He certainly wasn't quickest. But he had ONE THING the bum in the past 20 years have not had: HUNGER. He was going to drop you in the ring, or literally die trying. And, he didn't die...did he? He was a freak of nature. An unstoppable mini-tank armed with the most devastating haymaker the Heavyweight Division has ever seen. Pure pudding.
