Pink Sweets (Xbox 360) Arcade Stage 1 with Shasta (and a legitimate score!)

So finally I can say that the first stage of Pink Sweets I have down. Now I can move on to Stage 2 (and 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7...).

This is the second best run I have, before this I got just over 750,000 for the stage.

I'm also thinking for the next few videos, I'll change up the wallpaper. Not that we don't all love staring at Shasta's ass, but there's so much fanservice I figured I'd change it up every once in a while.

Funny thing is I've always checked that website for news on STG's (for a about two years now) but never the strategy section. Thanks for the link, that explains basically everything I needed to know. I wanted to know more about the game since I'm going to buy the Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets 2-pack. I would partially blame that website for getting me involved in this expensive hobby.

@megaszx08 I know exactly what you mean. Between Shmups Forum and Arcade Otaku I've gotten sucked into two very expensive hobbies. But I can't complain, I love them both.

@MattTheSpratt Uh, I didn't call myself an otaku. The name of the forum is Arcade Otaku. I'm aware of its derogatory connotation in Japan but the term in the United States (where I live) and the UK (where the founder of AO lives) does not have that connotation.

Can you explain to me how the scoring mechanics work here? And, I was also wondering, do you simply cancel the bullets like that or is there a time limit? I've heard that this is a tough game.

It's pretty good. The big thing here in Pink Sweets is the use for your shield, which can cancel 1 of the 3 types of bullets fired at you (don't worry, the vast majority of bullets are of that 1 type). Part of it is learning what you can absorb with your shield and what you can't. Your Rose Cracker (bomb) cancels all bullets at the risk of jacking your rank way up. Pink Sweets is very hard, but I love the challenge :)
