You forgot to tell people that Amazon's prices are much higher than most other bookstores o the web, and they lack tact and courtesy in dealing with customers.

Also, the Kindle makes it easy for the Government to track what you read, when do you read, how fast do you read, which passages are most interesting for you, and can rifle through your documents. All the time. Wherever you go. Lol jk. Paranoia I know, but you never know. The Government never spies on its citizens. At least that's for sure.

@CiaranDavidAinsworth Very well said. Technology marches on. The way we do things like reading are becoming all but obsolete.
But that doesn't mean we have to abandon them. Embrace the old and new I say. Don't stick to just one or the other.

@TheYummymummyful I agree that books are preferable in generable because they are generally a more absorbing experience. However, I have been using the Kindle a lot recently and have found myself just as engrossed in novels. My favourite thing about it - apart from the amazing screen - is the slight delay in turning a page. It really adds to the feeling that you are reading a book, just unencumbered by the heaviness of paper and material. The platform is irrelevant. What matters is the words.
really wants to get a kindle but is worried everything is getting too technical, what happened to good old fashioned books, the getting lost in a story, not being able put the book down, the smell of the book, the feel etc with a kindle you dont get that you just get sweaty palms :S
