  • @1summit7 Dynamic stretching is one of the best ways to warm up b/c unlike doing a static stretch while your muscles are cold and risking injury, it allows the muscles to stretch with movement(which is a more natural movement) while also getting them warm and reducing risk of injury.

If you have a background in corrective stretching or corrective exercise your number one position is to assess your client. This type of stretching is non specific and there is no doubt that she has not assessed her client, as she is giving him a blend of "old school" and "outdated" stretches. There is no correction given to her client - it looks like she is teaching a aerobic class.

  • @1summit7 what do you mean by the last three sentences of your comment?

  • I don't agree with this type of stretching. First it's not practical and secondly there isn't any corrective stretching specific to muscular tightness and tight connective tissue. Corrective stretch only what needs to be stretched and begin with an easy pace. Cave people have been doing this for a long time. Long levers require longer warmups.
