@kobeb365 I don't know if you can say he was better, but AI was almost unstoppable. Kobe nor anyone else couldn"t keep up with AI. A player like AI might come alone every 50 yrs. Memphis didn't understand that. Some players are just fun to watch and he was at the top of the list. That was the 1st time I was going to get a season ticket. Memphis was excited until.....

@mzzxashley Yea Kobe was my boy, but AI was my guy, LA had no answer for AI until Tiwain Lou. "I'm sure I spelled his name wrong".It was comical, that little guy would stick to AI chest. Kobe, Shaq or noone else on LA team could keep up with him.

@UFACIL 61 at MSG, 12th on all-time scoring list, 7 Finals appearances, Olympic Gold Medalist, NBA Player of the Decade, etc. AI was a great player and had a career that most are envious of, but give credit where it's due. Kobe has the more impressive resume and has had the greater career. As for talent, that''s opinionated. In my opinion Kobe has better skills. If u feel like AI has more skill that's your opinion. I respect it. No disrespect intended. One.

during that year, AI was a much better player then kobe. Yeah kobe blocked his jumpshot two or three times but kobe also gave up 30+ points in a bunch of the games. No matter how good of a scorer you are there are times where you will get stopped or you'll get blocked or miss a shot, so kobe didn't really do anything special guarding AI during the 2001 finals. Right now kobe's a better player because AI is limited to pistons style of play which isn't dominating by himself. Career wise AI > kobe.
