This is not a biography of Nobel Laureate Feynman-the gold standard for that is unquestionably James Gleick's Genius (LJ 10/1/92)-but rather a very interesting and pleasing compilation of anecdotes, interview excerpts, and conversations by a man who has made several excellent films about and with Feynman-including The Pleasure of Finding Things Out and No Ordinary Genius. Even for those who think they know Feynman and his work, this video is a rare and touching glimpse of him in his own words and in the words of those who knew him best. A pleasure to watch and an excellent video
Too bad they never figured out the spaghetti problem. Knowing Feynman, it probably would have somehow led to a Grand Unified Theory. String theorists have it all wrong -- not string, spaghetti!

If Feynman and co didn't make the bomb some other group of scientists would have, once the physics is known it is inevitable that it shall be used to create. He didn't do anything immoral - more to the point war is immoral, the bomb was dropped to save lives and lets face it you can't worry about getting wet when you're a fish, if you do you'll die because you're a FISH! And that is the morality of war.

Wow she has a lot of the same mannerism as her brother. I wonder if there father spoke to them like this when he explained stuff to them as kids.
