karuitha i agree with you,this is stupidity now who is suffering if not them.studying in a kenyan public university is risky and time wasting.These students have nothing to do at school thats why they have all the time to strike and destruct peace.How do they feel when one of them dies like this?si watafute other ways of solving shida zao

They will be opressed and depressed because they are the future. Otherwise why do the have to close the entire campus?????????? They should have atleast considered their grievances instead of campaighning, all over the country and partying at the state house. Who will save our failing institutions???//.@@@ Pole to whoever died in the pursuit of justice.

university students in Kenya are spoilt. Why riot and die for something like bus fares. get yourself a boda boda and ride to town, thats what we do in the west, if we cant afford fare we look for other means we dont go rioting.

I used to throw very big stones along Thika road & I used to enjoy these police confrontations when i was a student back in the day lakini ukishikwa they will beat you up mercilessly till you cry out for your mother uuui !

AS A FORMER COLLEGE STUDENT OF MOI UNIVERSITY I SPEAK...... reality...KSH 50/= is too low for a 35/= km journey thats almost what I paid in the the 1990's....but deaths out of such a simple non-academic affair is UNFORGIVABLE !!!!! What we could have done as comrades was to boycott the the transport (mathrees) until they agree to pay....if that was not possible turn to the university authorities to provide affordable transport....... where is the students ' union?...

College should provide welfare buses between the Eld. Bus Terminus and the institution...what do they do with all millions in grants received, fruitless research and constructing more buildings?
