@normalil I read that he visited her every Christmas and Easter... up until his death on November 29th 2011 :( I got this off Wikipedia so it might not be true, but if it is I hope he rests in peace and may God bless him!

As a man, I thought it would be pretty tough to lose you future wife to another man... but if GOD was the other man, I guess it might be a little easier, LOL.
I remember when she left Hollywood to join a convent, but finding this piece was a real eye-opener, amazing. I hope she found the peace here she could never find in Hollywood. I think the story would make a GREAT movie. Who knows, maybe she could do a cameo!

How beautiful is this story!

Wow man, how inspirational I find in this...If there are a thousand more souls like Mother Hart, the Hollywood kingdom would be a ruin!!!

This video makes me smile :)

Many are called, few are chosen. What a wonderful lady and great story.

Stay in Hollywood and lose your soul or give your life to Christ. I think she made the right choice.

Damn, what a waste. Such a beautiful woman up and becomes a nun. Isn't there some rule against that?

I love the part where she laughed & said, 'God has a sense of humor.' God bless you, Mother Dolores!

She HAD the face of an angel and HAS the heart of an angel.
An inspiring story, but I'd love to know more about the fiance. He seems such a good man.

@singing4hope I remember this very well ABC 20/20 documentary of Mother Dolores Hart was aired in May of 2000 while I was confined in Midway Nursing Home for physical rehab my very first and traumatic experienced living with old sick people the place smell pee (urine) that week was also the burial of John Cardinal O'Connor was the eleventh bishop (eighth archbishop) of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. I was able to have my combo TV/VCR in my own room and taped this show.

BTW prior to this interview by ABC 20/20 Fox Channel 5 did also an interesting interview of Mother Dolores Hart, I also was able to taped that show but due to several movings to deferent apartments or nursing rehab I lost the tape. So maybe anyone who is reading this and knows someone or works for Fox TV Network maybe they can do search in their TV Show Archives. I am willing to pay for the copy in the condition I can post them here at You Tube. thanks, God Bless!
