Emory students Courtney Von Stein and Eveleigh Wagner worked with paper conservator Elizabeth Schulte at the Michael C. Carlos Museum to clean a series of six engravings titled "A Harlot's Progress" by William Hogarth. The bathing procedure illustrates fundamental chemistry concepts such as pH, diffusion and Le Chatelier's Principle.
