  • @GBeret83 - Feather was NOT injured in the BC race. We're sooo tired of hearing this. She was xrayed and ultrasounded by Rood & Riddle after the race, prior to the sale. She was CLEAR and sound. She arrived at her new home 2 weeks prior to her new trainer, and then shows an injury? Hmmm. It has been just as hard for us, not to see her in action for so long since the BC, knowing she was only going to continue kicking butts. I believe she still will, as she has heart and determination!

  • Really happy to see Awesome Feather back not only racing but winning again!! She won her first start back since the BC Juvenile Fillies at Belmont in the Le Slew Stakes by about 2 length's!! Really was unfortunate she got injured in this race last season, because I felt like Awesome Feather was the best juvenile filly in training during the 2010 season. If she'd gotten to race during all of her 3yr.old season? I think the sky would've been the limit for this filly!! JMO.

  • @GBeret83 ....tendon injury

  • @GBeret83 I agree, when I watched the replay after the race, I noticed that in the stretch R Heat Lightning was forced down at the rail and the rail was not the place to be. It was dead and no horse was running very well on the rail. She also looked a little green and switched to her wrong lead just before Awesome Feather passed her, then she switched back in the later stages. She had a couple excuses in this race. I like her a lot.

  • @GBeret83

She might be back in training atthe end of this month,m I'm still unsure.

  • @catzcondo - Also she won this race with a simple Hand ride. She was never even asked. She is gonna be a star.

  • @catzcondo - She is still perfect, and hopefully her Tendon injury doesn't keep her out of the Kentucky Oaks. No reason to think she won't be the best 3 yr old filly in 2011.

  • dear mus diana john colson skowronski jr diana john grey goose diana that was a great night thanks for the drink at newburgh mall ground round that was gereat joseph peter newburgh free library diana great class thursday may 15th thursday 2008 diana went to girls door at pool ywca stated yes thank you diana john colson skowronski jr thank yiy dhs

  • Next year she'll have a harder time dealing with Dancinginherdreams, and the maiden winner Hailey d'Oro, among others. But she showed alot of heart and talent here.

  • A great race and a great win by Awesome Feather. She's sure to be crowned the Champion 2-Year Old Filly of 2010. And the funny part about it is that I don't even think that she's the best 2-Year Old Filly racing in America right now. For my money, the best 2-Year Old of either sex is Royal Delta who just broke her maiden in Rachel Alexandra-style at Belmont Park last week.
