  • 1997!! are u still a drill instructor?

  • @jkilla199 No, left there in 1998 and retired in 2003. Just thought it was important to have some good examples of what life was like for Navy OCS at that time period.

  • Do you have To take A College Psychology class in order to be a Drill

    Instructor?

  • @philipinoidiot No, psychology is not taught. However the mentoring you receive from the more experienced Drill Instructors you will be assigned to work with make a world of difference. After a couple years of training recruits and officers, I feel we ought to be awarded a psychology degree.

  • @crouchje lol what kind of mentoring Sir?

  • @philipinoidiot Mentoring of how to create stress in the recruits, how to manipulate their emotions, how to predict behavior and how to recoginize the onset of a mental breakdown. It has been priceless as a leader in the Marines and in my career as part of management in a hospital.

  • @dlinecg a tight butthole. its the navy dude.

  • @johnocorgel I'm in the process of submitting my package right now. I'm blessed to have the honor of training to become an officer. I've wanted to ever since high school...before I received my degree.

  • this dude means serious business. i can't wait to go to ocs

  • @kshad26 If that's what you're worried about, you need to rethink your priorities.

  • "Eyeballs!" "Snap, sir!" Amazing how little has changed. Just graduated with 03-12

  • @crouchje How did you become DI?

  • @dlinecg A college degree.

  • I'm working to become an officer in the U.S Navy. However, i have no prior ROTC or anything of military relevance on my resume. What does it take to be accepted into OCS?

  • I love this video. Whenever I'm having a sad day, I put this thing on and laugh at what must be going through these candidates minds. Its so motivating. I have no desire to be a naval officer, but I wanna fall in for this formation so bad. Oohrah!! Semper Fidelis Gunnery Sergeant!!
