Nature is exposed to man made radiation fallout 24/7...

World Health Organization officials told reporters Monday that Japan should act quickly to ban food sales from areas around the damaged nuclear plant, saying radiation in food is more dangerous than radioactive particles in the air because of accumulation in the human body.

"Walking outside for a day and eating food repeatedly are two different things. This is why they're going to have to take some decisions quickly in Japan to shut down and stop food being used completely from zones which they feel might be affected," WHO spokesman Gregory Hartl said, according to the Associated Press.

They were warned 2 years ago..

An official from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in December 2008 that safety rules were out of date and strong earthquakes would pose a "serious problem" for nuclear power stations.
The Japanese government pledged to upgrade safety at all of its nuclear plants, but will now face inevitable questions over whether it did enough.
While it responded to the warnings by building an emergency response centre at the Fukushima plant, it was only designed to withstand magnitude 7.0 tremors. Friday's devastating earthquake was a magnitude 9.0 shock.

  • @MurdocLC Radiation spikes in ocean near Japan nuclear plant

    英文中國郵報 - ‎8 hours ago‎

TOKYO -- Radioactivity levels are soaring in seawater near the crippled Fukushima Dai-ichi plant, Japan's nuclear safety agency said on Saturday, two weeks after the nuclear power plant was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami. ...

  • @kgdies nice i was thinking about doing the same, very smart

  • I live in the BC interior, I purchased a geiger counter and have been taking background air readings.

Guess what we are getting hit by 3 x the radiation that the Gov. of Canada site says.

So your right to not trust the Gov. they are lying thru their teeth its 3 times worse.

I'm consistently picking up .12 micro sieverts per hour not the .03 the Gov. advertises

    lying bastards!

  • Most of these posts were made around thef all out and yet here we are in seatte with helicopters checking our radiation levels. When the story broke re: other areas being collateral damage, I knew it wasn't over. We are the last to know about how something is continuing to impacting us.7/19/2011 How are we to get the damn toxins out of the bleepin water!

  • It is foolish to listento and trust any goverment! IKnew a week before if they started using salt water to put in the reactor.....big no no! tis is going to afffect the whole planet! If your smart get ready!

  • once the water in japan thats effected by radiation turns into rain...imagin what could happen next??? :(

  • @neolyrique It's more of a pity that it isn't working :/

  • Name of the star is WORMWOOD, And a third of the Waters were Made Posion

  • That's why we don't have news anymore; I mean real news.

It's a pity the human race have to live such a desaster to awake and evolve.

  • On the 25th levels 35km from the plant were 100x greater than Chernobyl - 14 days after both respectively. At 75km Fukushima was 2x the levels as Chernobyl - both 14 days after the event.

Not as bad as Chernobyl? 100 times worse! So far!

Fukushima doesn't have a graphite core but here 6 plants that have released radiation. 4 of them partially melted down, 2 severe core breaches, Numerous fires, and LOTS of contaminated water spilled into the ocean.

    Chernobyl killed about 1,000,000 people!
