A beautiful boat trip on a perfect summer day through the emerald green waters of John Pennecamp Coral Reef state Park in Key Largo, Florida. Snorkeling at the Grecian Rocks reveals beautiful coral, a barracuda or 2, and many parrot fish. A few large tarpon can be seen swimming in the shallow clear waters before the day draws to a close.

  • Great place to visit. People do have to remember NOT TO TOUCH THE CORAL. Some people broke off pieces when they were treading water too close to the coral!

  • I snorkled there over spring break, and I noticed that about three-quarters of the hard coral was dead (the white rubble on the bottom). My Marine Ecology professor said that Pennekamp is in poor condition because of runoff from shore and from tourists touching and kicking it.
