This is the same crisis in Christianity. Most are nominal name-only and don't know or practice anything religious until Easter. People practice "their religion" with varied levels of devotion, and no devotion at all. Then, even among the hardcore you have 1000 denominations with various interpretations. This is in every religion. Satanism will not be immune to this human phenomenon. But I guess its important to argue these unresolvable issues for the sake of integrity.

I was a teenage Satanist once... However my experience grew and evolved. Most call themselves whatever, but never bother to indulge themselves in the literature associated with it. I usually just quietly laugh at them. Hail Satan!

@hauntedsouth You don't have to make videos about satanism, you could make videos on whatever. I consider myself an individual, who just happens to be a Satanist. I have been on YT for over a year now, and have refused to articulate(on principal) what I believe in, other then saying "Satanism". I am not an anonymous person (unlike yourself), I'm hardly stupid I have well over 30 years of education and life experience.

@hauntedsouth You don't HAVE TO come out. You can take a picture of your self with a mask, or covering your face in some way. As for a name you can use your initials, or a middle name (be creative not misleading). I'm just tired of hearing "I'm a Satanist and I have a closet of black clothes to prove it" (read ASL's Get a Life). I'm not suggesting a video is more relevant then a typed word, I'm just pointing out that YouTube is a VIDEO site. Why come on a video site and have no videos?

@hauntedsouth If your not making videos, why are you on YouTube? Just to bully someone, and make yourself feel better? Guy I don't have time or interest for that crap, and satanism isn't about being mean for mean sake. I mean I hate people like Venomfangx, but I don't waste my time making bad comments to him, I save my time for people that do good...I also walk the left hand path in real life, you can see me talk about it in my videos.

...Of course, I'm not suggesting that one shouldn't post videos. I'm saying that if someone decides not to, it doesn't say anything relevant about them. There are a number of very rational reasons why I wouldn't do it; security and anonymity are just a couple. "Coming out" can be dangerous for some people, and therefore stupid...and therefore unSatanic. And besides, how is an online video any more relevant than a typed comment?

@Ivorkornuta Or maybe some of them are out there actually LIVING Satanism instead of just TALKING about it on youtube. The amount of videos you have measures nothing, and it's probably the most ridiculous cop-out argument I've ever heard. "Oh yeah, where are your videos" shout the pretentious would-be Satanists.Talk about counter productive pride. Sheesh
