Ya and try to keep your body upright. If you have a short contact time, you have to jump with the down word force which requires more muscle power that builds muscle.

this is the biggest thing you need to work on, being much quicker off of the ground. you can jump over a hurdle after the depth jump which will help your vertical power as well as reduce your ground time

try to jump upward an reduce the forward motion to increase your vertical leap.

your on the ground to long. aim for a <.2 second contact time.
