The Eggma Trio rehearses this chamber piece in the comfort of a living room. If you listen carefully you can tell that there is no human cellist, only a Sound Blaster Live! Value midi.

Heres us a few months later:

  • No no, I really like the part in the description that says "If you listen CAREFULLY (like, REALLY, REALLY CAREFULLY), you can tell the cello part is played by a midi". AS IF WE WOULDN'T HEAR THAT FROM THE VERY FIRST SECOND!!! Seriously, this would be much better if ALL the instruments would be played on a midi! Especially the violin! Gosh!

  • sephiroth999999: Thank you for continuing to follow the Eggma Trio by repeatedly watching the practice sessions and recordings on YouTube and commenting on them for the past year. Your continued interest provides motivation to continue our quest for musical perfection.

  • Ok ok, this sucked. Check the video responses to see how it ended up a few months later.

  • Like it or not this is what chamber music is all about: friends and computers getting together to have fun playing music. This video is a statement about that -- unrehearsed and raw

  • no i m not kidding.

  • Only the cellist is a midi file? oh, i thought, no i hoped....Oh, nevermind :p

  • where is the precision? this is horrible, practise it and after playing it perfect post it, or not

piano can not be false but violin can

  • Meh, I enjoyed it.

  • Look man, I'd ask you to have some Arts Appreciation. Take a moment to consider the struggles of Artists to entertain "you", the listening public.

Plus, the web page just hasn't been updated. This instrument has been "put out to pasture" and replaced with an even more expensive, fine instrument, for which a grant unfortunately has not been obtained at this time.

If you would like to assist Eggma financially, we would be more than willing to get in touch with you.

  • OMG LOOK WHAT I FOUND ON THEIR WEBSITE ROFL

    Rare Instruments

Mr. Rosenquist plays a rare $429 "Evangeline" violin crafted in the United States by the Lisle company or one of its affiliates. Its exceptional loud, powerful tone is rare for an instrument of its price and calibre. Funding for this instrument was provided by a generous grant from the Dr. and Mrs. Mark Rosenquist Foundation for the Arts of Southeast Texas.

  • Well nuns cant make a deal with the devil, so they just cant play the fiddle
