@EmceeCartoon Turkey was actually founded by Abdulah Kemal, an turkish atheist officer in the Ottoman military who created modern turkey as a secular state that wished to follow the model of Japan and modernize itself so it could become a powerfull nation in it's own right without being bogged down by Islam. Political Islam only recently started changing Turkey after gaining votes from the illiterate, uneducated masses in the Anitolia region.
