@smbbrando Your Big Ten marching band wouldn't exist without the Marching Illini. We were the first band to ever do a formation on a football field, not to mention we also have the nation's oldest and largest college band program. And the first college band to record a CD? That was us, and it sold 20,000 copies. The first band to play "Hey, Baby" in the stands? That was us too. The Marching Illini have shaped what marching band is today.

Well, I didn't know.

I still laugh when I watch this.
"I'm bringing my A-game!"
Classic Asturgeo.
And yeah, anyone that's confused about this video, and think it's lame and band-geeky, it's a joke. Athletics ran a similar commercial that had the footplayers. It was HORRIBLE. We cracked up everytime they said, "I'm gonna HIT somebody!" So we made this video as a PARODY of that series, and played it at our formal at the end of the year. For another example, search "The "Outer" Office". It's hilarious.

Yes, it's called a PARODY.

Apparently some people (smbrando, ticklmeelmo55, etc) are too stupid to understand parody.

Illinois was the second big ten marching band to win the Sudler Trophy, and this video is a parody on the commercial the football team had last year.

How embarrassing.
Uh, Marching Illini are one of the top marching bands in the nation if not the top

Bitch please. This is the band-they take their job seriously and train just as hard if not harder than the athletes do. They also like to joke around a little bit.
