toyota also promised an operating robot by 2010, thats next year! they will be mostly used for nursery, contruction work related, information booth(like the people that tell information and stuff). but you can purchase it if you have the money and make it work around the house, thats only if your rich and dont care about spending money on it.

toyota purchased all of sonys robotics division, so we may see them again later in the future, but better versions of it. all of sony's engineers also is now working for toyota
-
well, toyota purchased sonys robots devision, that is qrio and aibo. toyota has set up a robotics division now, and is focusing on building robots to be sold. so, you never know, they may bring back qrio and aibo in like a different version. but they have built a seprate model if you havent seen it already, just type in new toyota robot.

sony should really bring the qrio back and have it connect to a computer so that you could program it to do tasks or dance!, and there should be some kind of website where you can upload and download qrio program's,
that would be awesome!!

You consider "new" being 6 months after the fact? Sony stopped working on the Qrio in January of 2006.

This video was posted way over a year ago. Pay attention.

That's not what he said though.
He said 6 months after Sony discontinued it. You posted this in Aug. 2006 when Qrio was discontinued in Jan. 2006 so this video was posted way past the actual date this "dance" took place.

You do realize that just because they aren't developing it, doesn't mean they don't still exists right? These were still used for promotion and advertising after the point where they were discontinued. They didn't burn the prototypes.
