That's because Norio Matsumoto (a one-man animation powerhouse) animated this fight. He does all of the truly epic battles in Naruto, including: the Hokage fight, the Valley of the End fight, the Deidara & Gaara fight, the Sasori fight, a good chunk of the second Hidan & Kakuzu fight, and the entirety of the second Naruto movie.

Is that why the animation style changes throughout the series? Deidara's fight with Sasuke looks different than the rest of Naruto Shippeuden with an animation style just like that of this fight.

I personally think the new style of animation is not as good as the old usual one but it does have the best action and movements. Only the faces could use some work. The colors seem more dull than the usual style. Your thoughts?

Well, there's actually about 7+ art teams. They only hire Norio Matsumoto for the really eye-catching/epic fights (and yes, he did the Sasuke & Deidara fight, as well). His art for individual frames isn't as close to the original manga artwork or as well shaded as the rest of the series, but his animation is downright beautiful. It really flows smoothly.

Its funny to see all the people in here who say, "Oh, I hope Naruto wins!" and "Ooh, I think Sasuke will win!!" Read or watch the original japanese series if you want to know. You call yourselves Naruto fans and you dont even know. Great video, dbzrevenge.

Have to agree with you there. The Deidara fight was luckily when I decided to give Naruto a chance after bashing it for years. Good thing I started with that fight by accident. Episode 123 of the new series, I think.
