my syma s107 is very unstable when it leaves the ground it just wobbles from side to side then dives to the right and into the ground any advice for a total beginner would be appreciated

@tuckerren your balance bar is probably not working right. My guess is it is very stiff. The balance bar should not be stiff.

@tuckerren Double check that your balance bar flops around and pivots. My guess is your balance bar does not pivot very easily

Thank you for the information on the gear replacement. I love this little helicopter. It is my first and Im hooked. Very good copter to start with.

@hobbywolf; I didn't change my gear set yet; still waiting for the part delivery, but on pulling press fit gears, I recommend a tool that would grab the gears from behind (like a gear puller).

Grabbing the gear itself puts compression force on the shaft, making a catch 22, the tighter you grab it, the more force that is required to pull it.

@Spookie; If both blades sets are rotating, but you hit a ceiling like I did, you may have knocked a tooth off transfer gear between the motor for the upper blade set. If you watch closely, when rotating the upper blade set by hand, if you do not rotate the gears back to the motor located closer to that back or tail propeller side, you will find a missing tooth in the gear set and will just need to replace them. Sets are cheap on ebay and amazon.

I crashed it and everything still works but when it takes off/starts hovering, it dives right into the ground? The wings looked a little nicked up but I'm not sure why this is happening? The upper bars still pivot and it appears to be in good working order. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
