Homemade HDTV Antenna (UHF & VHF)

In this video I demonstrate my homemade vhf/uhf antenna with my Apex 40" LCD HDTV. I originally built the UHF antenna but was only receiving 5 channels in my area. After further investigation using the http://www.antennaweb.org/ listing of channels I should be able to get over the air, I opted to modify my antenna to receive VHF signal with a rabbit ear antenna and a signal combiner. If you have any questions please ask in the comments. I'm planning on spray painting the antenna since it really sticks out against a white wall and a black tv. Thanks everyone.

Its amazing, people said the volume was too low but that's because they hadn't activated the built in surround sound in the menu. I haven't had any problems with the refresh rate even when watching sports and at $400 for true 1080p resolution, its a steal.

I bought a 10 dollar antenna from best buy and pick up about 40 channels from it. But if you want the satisfaction in building something good job.

just made my own here in Georgetown ky pick up 16 channels all reading good on signal it really works cost me 11dollars had parts thanks nice  job there on yours
