READ ME FIRST: I purchased a PolyMoog, which needed repair. I never was able to slice the time to fix it. I decided to give it to my salesman and friend, Brendan, who works at SweetWater Music as a Wedding present, since he had the resources to fix it. Don't watch this unless you like late night stupidity, and synthesizers!

  • Yeah! I wanna know, did he get it fixed? Did the wife yell at him? Details! :)

  • @peterkadar Actually, no! It sits in one of the Sweetwater studios, where they enjoy the 'weird sounds' it makes! LOL!

  • I know, MoooooooooooooG was a kids' TV character!

So did this old machine get fixed up by your buddy? I used to have one (the Keyboard model) and I miss it a LOT. It didn't survive the last time I transported it, unfortunatly :-(

  • Actually, list time I checked, it was still a work in progress, however, they actually ENJOYED the strange sounds it would make in 'broken mode' -- gotta love that thing!

  • Poly MOWAG ??? WTF?

    MooooooooooooG!

  • NO.

    NOT WTF...

It's NOT Moo, as in a moaning cow.

It's Moe. That's the right way to pronounce "Moog" - do your research before you place a comment.

  • I laughed so hard when you had the amp plugged into the gate output!

I still want one of these, they're adorably unpredictable!

  • @adiblasi That is correct...it is pronounced "moag"

  • funny,of course he is hungry

  • I've had more trouble with softsynths than with my vintage stuff.

  • A chap called Kevin Lightner owns one of these and he resoldered every joint inside to make it reliable. This took 3 weeks and he's probably a really good solderer. Like the pinball owners, you need to learn these skills to maintain old machines. For those who can restoring something must give them so much satisfaction when they get to play it.

  • i actually got to play with an old moog from 1970 and it was a monophonic. i actually made a funky song with it. it was a collage project i had done and i got a pretty good grade on it didn't fail but hope to make another song with it sometime in the near future

  • if youd like to see the polymoog check out this video just released by on you tube called electric disorder clive sinclair

  • @ClubQBall Good! Keep at it and maybe someday you will learn to improve yourself without so much help from others. LOL!

  • @JohnLRice

Hey! Thanks a lot for that commentary. My God, you're a brilliant bloody genius! How did I ever make it without your sage advice?

Since obviously you don't know when to just shut the fuck up, I'm making this my last response. Thank you for your information. It wasn't really solicited or asked for, but thanks nonetheless. I'm a better man now that I know this little tidbit about the correct way to pronounce MOOG. You have blessed me with riches untold, Mr. Rice.

  • @ClubQBall LOL, chill out dude. Maybe go get your money back from your college or something. Bob Moog and the Moog company are the last word in determining how there name is pronounced. If they say it is one way, then that IS the way it is. You are completely within your rights to continue to pronounce it incorrectly though.
