See these are the covers that I like. This isn't some 13 year old kid playing with crappy audio quality who thinks he's good but he sucks. No, this is a 13 year old kid who actually IS good, scratch that, AMAZING and makes polyrythyms look easy. I have to give you so much credit because this is the best drum cover I've seen on YouTube. You have so much potential and you are so talented. I hope this talent gets you far in life, bacause you truly deserve it, and I actually am jealous!

Not bad. Not bad at all. I think it should be said, though, that you play the opening beat wrong. I went to Danny's clinic years ago and he explained that the opening beat for this track is just a swiss army triplet followed by a flam tap: lR-R-l-lR-R-rL-L-rL-L. Awesome work, otherwise, though. Keep it up!

I believe in this video I used the stock Remo heads that came with the Pearl MCX Snare. They sound great, but honestly I've found the best combination to be the Evans Hazy 300 for snare side and either an Evans Genera HD Dry batter (for a more focused sound) or the Evans ST Dry (for a more warm/tonal sound). In my experience the ST Dry has greater longevity than the HD, but you can't go wrong either way.
