All of our lives are populated by stars(us), critical characters, supporting actors, character actors, bit players, speaking and non-speaking minor players and extras. Bogart never considered himself a star, which of course is precisely what made him one. He was just glad to be a working actor with a fine wife and two terrific children. ;])

Heavens to Harry Cohen! THANKS for posting this...one of my favorite movies! Though I will admit it' would be peachy to see Hitchock's named taken off the heading and and to see the parts numbered better. Laurel Gray, like Mildred Atkinson, is one FINE hunk o' woman. Strictly from wowsville, daddy-o! One of Bogie's BEST performances...what a great script, supporting cast and wonderful art direction. Top notch in every dept! :-)

The sequences are all mixed up. I haven't been able to find anything in order since the third section and then it just skips around. It's such an interesting film. I hope to get the rest of it.
