CONGRATULAZIONI !! BRAVISSSSIMO !!!
I see that you live in my country, Italy. I would like to convertt my very old and smocky Fiat Punto as well but I have read on italian news groups that it is so difficult to "immatricolare" (legalize) the converted car with the Italian PRA (cars autority).
Are you thinking of doing it back in your nation (UK) or are you tryng here ? (we have big long red tape, you know better than me).
Do you write on italian web sites so I can follow ? ciao, grazie

Yes Bogt, leave the 2.88L/100km, 81g/km A2 1.2 TDI alone and buy a petrol car for a basis. You can always change the wheels over to 14" 4 stud to take the ECO tyres anyways.

that camera is trying too hard

Good job, Hannah! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! Very nice.
Actually I am looking into the same type of batteries, and even looked at the motor you are using. Do you have more info on it? What is the power?
Good luck, and thank you so much for posting this!
Richard
just shows what can be done by one bloke in his garage ,
excuse me , but what is taking all the major car companies
so long ? I guess they must be locked in never ending
meetings trying to figure out where to position the cup holders !

Actually I pulled the cup holders out. Couldn't decide what size they should be...

Really nice test drive. What kind of vacuum pump are you using? because you can hear it pretty well in the video. And does the A2 have electrical power steering so you can get that working again?
Bogt 2 years ago
vac pump is from evsource on line store, it is not too bad, sounds noisy because car is quiet and vid sound is compressed!
As for steering, I will need to get a signal to the electrical pump to get it to work. No CAN, No signal.

That is a very nice vacuum pump kit! I will follow the rest of the build closely. Hope to convert an A2 someday preferably a 3L version. I am really interested in your Wh per mile/km usage. Amazing conversion! It is very inspiring!

Hey, leave the 3L in peace, get a 1.4L which uses 6.5L/100km, that's a better deal on reducing the potential to use petrol ;-)
