Actually I loved it, and I can't believe I've just heard from the artist. Thank you VERY much for your response. I was working my first job in a restaurant and worked extra hours so I could afford to buy all the music I wanted. I was on a family trip when I bought it at The Song Shop at 6th and Race Streets in Cincy. When I saw the title "Hot Thang" and the label it was on I knew I'd bring home gold. I wore the record out! Got a turntable this past Christmas! "Hot Thang" is back!
Thank you for posting this. Reminds me of springtime in 1972. Very few people know of this song. I bought it because it was on Sussex Records and my favorite guitarist (other than Hendrix) was Dennis Coffey, who had "Taurus" out around this same time on that same label. I never actually heard this song on the radio. It was one of my many "impulse" purchases. Sometimes it was the label it was on, sometimes the name of the band and often the song title that gave me hope it might be a jam.
Very Good !

Always loved this! A record that was far too good for the predominantly self-indulgent musical atmosphere of 1972.
