Home made french fries topped with Philadelphia Cream Cheese sauce, bacon and green onions. The perfect appetizer for entertaining.
Ingredients:
2 cups of canola oil
3 to 4 Russett Potatoes (washed and sliced)
3 to 4 strips of bacon (cooked)
1/4 cup of chopped green onion
4oz. of Phildelphia Cream Cheese
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 teaspoon of cajun spice
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
While bacon is cooking place sliced potatoes (french fries) in hot canola oil. Allow them to cook for about 7 minutes or until they float in the oil.
In a small sauce pan, heat cream cheese, milk and crushed garlic about 3 to 5 minutes then add the cajun spice. Cook on low for 2 more minutes until all is incorporated and sauce is smooth.
Remove french fries from oil and drain. Sprinkle with salt.
Place fries on serving plate and drizzle with sauce. Top with crushed bacon and chopped green onion. Pour remaining sauce in bowl or cup for extra dipping.
They sure are unhealthy, but I wanna fix them and just have them once a yr. They look good. Maybe have a beer with it too.
