KOFI ------ Its all in the game

Carol Simms. Formerly with female lovers rock trio Brown Sugar, Simms pursued an equally prolific career as Kofi following the former's demise in the mid-80s. She worked with the Mad Professor, revisiting Brown Sugar's past glories on "I Am So Proud" and "I'm In Love With A Dreadlocks", alongside versions of "A Place In The Sun" and "Didn't I". She also recorded a duet with John McLean on "I'm Still In Love With You". Kofi released three albums on Ariwa Sounds and one on Atlantic Records. In 1990 her remake of the Brown Sugar songs, "Proud Of Mandella" and "Dread A Who She Love", were also used as the basis for combination hits with DJ Macka B. In the 90s she released the popular "Coming Down To See Me" and continued to maintain a high profile as a lovers rock performer.
