Dolphins at Atlantic Beach, NC

I recorded this today off of the beach in Atlantic Beach, NC. It was about 60 degrees out today and sort of gray. I was actually recording the surfers.

We are heading back being land locked was not a good thing for us can't wait to see some more dolphins again

I live right off the beach in Atlantic Beach and see them most every time that I am on the beach. I have had them swimming around and playing very close to me at times when I was out swimming in the surf. Early morning is the best time as they are often very close in and not a lot of people on the beach. Never have figured out how to tell dolphins (mammal variety) from porpoises but there are plenty of one or another or both out in the surf here on the island (Bogue Banks) at Atlantic Beach.

Aggg, every year I go there but I never see any dolphins! :(

i had a similar dolphin encounter in Emerald Isle, NC last summer..i was surfing in a wave and the dolphins were "riding" the same wave about 20 yards down..it was amazing
