  • Hair dryer isn't going to work unless you build a stand for it and run it for maybe 15 hours. Instead, put some heat shielding behind it to protect anything from burning and use a propane torch. I know of no other way to actually heat the water up in the pipe enough to melt ice. This might not be the safest method, but it works where a hair dryer probably won'tt
